Instructions for week 4¶
To prepare for this week, please look at the homework first!
All course meetings start in hall U9 at 16:15. The contest runs from 16:20 to 17:50. During the second half of the meeting, help is also available in room U262.
Monday contest¶
On Monday we will have a solo contest. At the meeting, you will receive a piece of paper containing credentials for a pre-created CSES account assigned at random; its name will look like aalto26dm_NNN. Use only the account assigned to you for this contest, and do not use a personal CSES account.
The contest is available at cses.fi/662/list/. It will automatically open at 16:20 sharp, and it will end at 17:50 sharp.

Wednesday contest¶
On Wednesday we will have a team contest. We will assign students to teams at random at 16:15, so please be in hall U9 on time. Each team will receive a pre-created CSES account whose name will look like aalto26dw_NNN.
Use only the account assigned to your team for this contest, and do not use a personal CSES account.

NCPC practice and registration¶
The optional NCPC practice contest takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 12:00–17:00 in T7 and T8 in the CS building, with bonus points for solved problems. No advance registration is needed. If you do not have building keys, be at the front door at 11:50–11:55. See the linked instructions for the Kattis contest, team rules, and what to bring.
If you plan to take part in NCPC on October 3, remember to register your team by Wednesday, September 30.
