Instructions for week 12¶

Monday contest¶

On Monday we will have a solo contest, but the contest is a bit unusual this time! We will have four optimization tasks, and for each task you can get a score between 0 and 100. The total score will determine how many points you get for course grading; we will use a formula that maps e.g. 1 → 1 point, 25 → 3 points, 100 → 6 points, 225 → 9 points, and 400 → 12 points.

The contest will be available at cses.fi/476/list/. The contest will automatically open at 16:20 sharp, and it will end at 17:50 sharp. Please make sure you use your personal CSES user account to take part in the contest.

Wednesday contest¶

On Wednesday we will also have exceptional program: this will be a solo contest with 10 small problems. Each task is worth 2 points, so this time there are some extra points available. There are also small prizes for those who solve the tasks quickly!

The contest will be available at cses.fi/477/list/. The contest will automatically open at 16:20 sharp, and it will end at 17:50 sharp. Please make sure you use your personal CSES user account to take part in the contest.
