Creating a FOAF profileΒΆ
FOAF (Friend-of-a-Friend) is an RDF vocabulary for representing social networks. Create a FOAF profile for yourself in a file, which describes at least the following information using the properties defined in the FOAF namespace:
- first name
- last name
- birthday using a suitable data type
- a topic of interest (search for a suitable concept (URI) from the KOKO ontology in the Finto service)
- Define a URI for your FOAF profile that identifies yourself, for example into the Aalto University namespace (e.g., http://aalto.fi/someLocalName).
Complement your FOAF description by a suitable property that describes your birth place using a DBpedia concept.
You can create the ontology with any RDF serialization you want, but the return file has to be in the Turtle format. You can transform the ontology into the Turtle serialization for submission using the RDF Serializer service.
You may want to validate your profile before submitting by visualizing it in the RDF Grapher service.
